Via Purifico — Nobuo Uematsu, Aki Kuroda

Final Fantasy X Piano Collections

Ahh, must learn!

I’m almost done with my exam pieces for piano.

All that’s left to do is re-study my first two, since it’s been a while. But that won’t take too long. Should take a day or two, tops.

This is such a relief. I’ve been so stressed out that I wouldn’t get everything done on time. But things are looking good now.

But I can’t sit on my ass and rest just yet. I still have reading and theory and whatnot to do. But finishing the exam pieces will just lift a huge weight off my shoulders.

June is almost done!

I can now play to then end with the last part hands separately. Should be able to finish it today, I hope!

Tchaikovskyyyyyy! I love you, even though your technique in this piece killed me, lol.

My hands are hurting so much from practicing Tchaikovsky.

His music is brilliant, but slurred chords with both hands? Really?

And then there’s the excessive pedaling…

*sigh* I’d do anything for Tchaikovsky, man.

Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen: Piano Arrangement (by Goten1992)

Did this overnight. This song has been stuck in my head for days now. And it’s been since September that I made a piano arrangement for a pop song, so why not?

Here we go!

And now, I think I’ve spammed this song enough for today, lol.

How You Practice and Prepare Defines Your Outcome.

I had a conversation with someone who was making the same mistake over and over again on the piano. And what I told her is that because she wasnt practicing correctly from the beginning she has ingrained in her mind that the wrong fingering is right.

In a way she has to erase what she learned and correct the mistake.

Its not easy to break habits that have been with you for many years.

No kidding. I don’t even understand how I ever learned more difficult pieces before my lessons. My method was horrible…

Rachmaninoff, you beautiful bastard. Excerpt from the infamous Piano Concerto No. 3. Maybe I’ll actually attempt to learn it. Maybe.

Oh.
