My violin pieces for my exam are really coming together!
Shifting to 3rd position is going more smoothly now and I’m getting better at playing 5ths.
Maybe after the exams, I’ll post Lilium. I’ve really come to love that song. Maybe I should start watching Elfen Lied, though… lol.
The theory exam, though… now that’s a whole other story. Intonation and reading in 3 alternating clefs? No thank you :|

- I suck. But I’ve only been playing for about 6 months, so keep that in mind XD
- I now realize my bow hold is absolutely atrocious. Will work on that…
- I chose to go an octave lower in that one high, epic part, because no way I can play above 3rd position as of now ._.
- Yeah, it’s Final Fantasy, so… I win by default? :D
Decided to learn (the full version of) this for violin class. My teacher loves how I often bring my own input into the lessons. Because people usually don’t care much for their secondary instruments.
I gotta admit, though, I’ve never really watched Elfen Lied ._. But I’ve always loved this song.
FFFFUUUUU, I suck at the violin right now!

Just got a pretty good idea for a new piece.
It’ll be my first violin solo piece. Nothing too extravagant, of course, as I’ve only been playing for about 5 months, and I’d like to be able to play my own pieces, lol.
EDIT: Oh, I didn’t even post this. I forgot about this post and went straight back to working on the piece, haha!
I already finished it! That took me, like, what, 2 hours, tops? I don’t think I’ve ever written something that quickly, with the exception of one little piece. And it sounds pretty decent too. I’ll probably upload it tomorrow. Or maybe later, if I can master it and record it myself, that would be cool!
